"What it do?"
Good morning from Houston! (seriously, how do you live here Diz? The weather is disgusting, and what's with the streets being wholly empty on a Sunday night, and practically ZERO open restaurants - people say DC shuts up at night - but we ain't got shizzle on Houston)
I'm off to metaphorically fellate Big Oil, but my infamous Nervous Stomach has jumped up and bitten me in the ass. So, I'm thinking that something bland will be on the menu to celebrate what I hope will be "The Money Shot."
How 'bout the rest of y'all? WFL?

I am very hungry today. Thinking about the Soho buffet but not really interested in dropping $15.
Maybe a burrito from my man at 17th and K.
Jo, you do know that it's possible to go to Soho and not drop $15?
My colleague gave me a coupon book for eats at the golden arches. I'll be eating there for lunch today. You can't beat free stuff, I don't care who you gotta blow.
Good luck HT. Wish I had some relaxing thoughts to send you. How's about this:
Don't worry, 'boout a thing.
'Cuz every little thing's
gonna be alright.
Siiiigh . . . in honor of my empty wallet (how does that keep happening? I didn't even drink very much this weekend! - just a few a BB on Friday!) & the fact that I didn't eat all my chinese on Friday (good for me!) I will be having leftover chinese from Friday. I think there are 3 pieces of orange chicken and bunch of peanut chicken left. Oh, and some salad which is sure to be quite rank.
Good luck with the BJ, HT. I hope you poofed your hair extra big for those Texas oil boys.
HTs right, the $15 all you can eat mistake is what you do the first time you see those by the pound places. You ain't a dirty rookie are Jo? Leave out the Iron berries and the Lead noodles and you'll be ok.
Sunshine, when I think of McD's coupon books I always think of what someone said was a good idea when a homeless guy asks you for money - give him a coupon for Mickey D's instead. Are you a homeless guy?
For all in the DC area. After lunch on June 24th, come over to the Newton House for a party to celebrate Watchdog's graduation from bachelorhood.
Fuck it, that's for everybody, not just DC folks.
Jo, if you have email addresses, could you forward the evite to Lunchers for me?
I've tried HT. Not possible. And sorry for not mentioning anything about you putting your alter ego "Spunky" to work in my earlier comment. I'm really preoccupied with this hunger thing. I have heard that CEO spunk is a good cure for a sour stomach.
I'm not homeless, but I'm always ready just in case.
After last week's binge fest on all food and drink that is bad for me, I will be back to my norm of brown baggin' it. Turkey sandwich loaded with the veggies with some fruit and yogurt.
FYI - for those of you with access to Silver Spring, check out Mamma Lucia's. Great NY style pizza -it's in the same plaza as Oriental East (I think that's the name) which has some of the best dim sum around!
HT ... you need to explore the subterranian Houston. The reason you see noone on the streets?
That because just like the evil Morlocks we are ... everything here is underground.
Not terribly bright since the water table is about 3" under the soil. But hey, with all of your money... we can afford anything we want. Including caddys and big hair.
Isn't there a Mamma Lucia's in Cleveland Park?
that's a Vace's Jo...deja vu
Today is a burger day for me.
This won't help the weak of stomach or constitution. But it will make me less hungry. HT you can get a hold of me if you need lunch. Otherwise my suggestion is to get at least yogurt or some other cultured product into your stomach. It helps with bad stomachs.
MikeyS - fyi I invited HT, TAFKALC and LT to the NMP already...I think that covers DC bloggers.
Thanks for checking up Miu. I did a great job saving titties over the weekend. I ran a minute (almost a minute, 58 seconds)faster this year than I did in last year's Race for the Cure. I felt good about that. Then I reflected that I was 12:01 slower than my best 5K ever and I didn't feel too bad since this is my first time in a new age group. I'm so much more competitive in the 30 & up than I was in the 21 - 29.
At any rate. Ladies, Fellas, if you enjoy titties in the next year, you can thank yours truly.
Hm, Houston sounds like Crystal City - that soulless bastion of substreet mallage & lack of sidewalks. At least Houston has a reason for being all subterranean. CC ain't got nothin!
I didn't get enough sleep to do so! I had to get up early to let the plumbers in & then my mom came over & we did stuff all day & then had dinner at their house & then I went home & crashed. Hardly any drinking at all, dammit! Which doesn't mean any fewer calories, b/c I ordered a pizza and cheesy breadsticks (what the hell is my problem?!) for dinner Fri night (after several vodka-sodas at BB). And then I ate fudge & cookies while I tried to watch 'Sid & Nancy' before I had to go to bed 1/2 way through. That Gary Oldman is such a chameleon.
I will try harder this weekend to get full-on alcohol in there.
Oh, and it looks like my condo problem isn't going to be as bad as I feared, thank God. They still had to punch a hole in the newly restored wall, and I'm sure I'll have to fight with them over getting a steam-cleaning for my carpet, but I won't be out of my place or anything. Still - irritation. Gah.
Ham and muenster on a soft sub roll with lettuce, tomato, sweet peppers, avocado and mayo.
Got the sub at Daily Market on Connecticut Ave just north of Bravo Bravo.
Lunch with bad Consequences
I thought Mentos only gave you elevated levels of sass. i had no idea they reacted with pepsi.
If you liked the Pepsi Grrl
I think you're right Miu
Did I stop all conversation with my lunch\snuff video?
Yeah, I'm still here too, but Blogger is a little quirky for me today. Haven't had this much trouble since I started asking my dates if they were over 18.
Just kidding.
I never ask.
You're right, Miu. Once you have to start worrying about the legailty of things, it takes all the fun out of it.
Burn, baby, burn!
Had a salad today, the usual mix of my favorites from the salad bar. Though i've had "salad" burps all afternoon, not sure which item is causing that.
Fellating went okay. Not great, but alright, I guess.
Anyhoo, thanks to Diz for his lunch recommendation - TheBoss and I grabbed burritos at a place called Cabo, and for under $20 we are fat and happy. I'm in my room until dinner, which I suspect is going to come too early for my liking.
Its Tex Mex in Texas .. remember we take out and shoot people for serving us crap. So ya'll ain't gonna get no bad Tex Mex here.
Let me know if Artiste sux. I'll hook ya'll up with some of the best Mexican Margaritas in the world.
TAFKALC was fat and happy when she came. Eating is a sport with us dude. That and tubing down the river.
oh and drinking ...
But I digress, I wish your Houston hell would have been far more rewarding ... it isn't like the bastards don't have the money!
In fairness, Houston was destined to get a bad wrap in my book. I don't want to be traveling anymore. These two day trips are disruptive - not long enough or short enough. And, get me outside new york or dc, and I just get disoriented and confused. And thus, cranky and whiny.
Cabo was good though. Had I not had to work through lunch, and were I not with TheBoss, I could have easily gotten hammered there, and thus would probably be in a better mood.
tried getting on blogger earlier but it was being fiesty. i wanted to give a big hip hip hooray b/c i finally got to have curried chix salad and cous cous today...it's hasn't been downstairs at b-line for a while! then of course, i got a piece of cous cous stuck in my keyboard at it won't come out. i just hope it doesn't get all moldy in there or something.
