WFL? June 2, 2006

It's Friday, people! What are you having for lunch today in preparation for the weekend and possible happy hours tonight? Laying down a good base or getting started celebrating early? It's beautiful in Chicago and I hope it is where you are too.

Now WFL?

thanks for asking Jade. I'll be eating performance enhancing foods because I have to save the titties of the world tomorrow.

That is to say that I'm running in the race for the cure.

May go to NY Deli or to Konami for some Japanese food.

Someone has to save the boobies, I'm proud of you Sunshine for embracing such a noble cause.

Sunshine, I'm glad you're on board with the tittie cure. It's too late for HaterTot, but maybe you can save others.

God I'm in a shitty mood. I can't even talk about it. I'll get curse-y & throw-y of things & develop an ulcer that has been healing since my condo issues of July through February. Had a sesame seed bagel with garlic & herb cream cheese, so I'll be sure to run into office crushboy, too. Not sure WFL. Might go & get some pita & hummus - am craving more due to Uni's picnic last night . . . .

Thankfully the weather her in DC is cooling off. I will be lunching from the Best Sandwich Place again today. Not sure what I'll eat.

Going to see the DC Metro area's #1 Eighties' cover band The Legwarmers. I will be there with the majority of mikeysunshine's family. As such I will only be at HH@BB till around 6:00. BUT, I will be there early so get your asses out of the office and pver to the bar so we can give Bob some money.

Jo, Jo, Jo - the Legwarmers? Again?! Can't they ever play on like, a Wednesday, or something???

I will be at HH@BB. And, hopefully I will be there before you go off to listen to Summer of '69, yet again.

I'm sad to report that I did not procure black & white cookies in NY, as requested. Instead, I was busy having dinner with Kofi Annan and the President of Botswana. (no, seroiusly - I was)

I'll swing by ABP on my way, though.

No idea wfl. I'm thinking breadline. And, I NEED to go to the gym. Actually, maybe abp. I'll keep you posted.

For future refernce So's Your Mom Deli has black & white cookies.

And miu, does this mean the Summer of Miu begins tonight?

Caffeine, cigarettes, and booze now that the Mormon is gone?

HaterTot said...

I want So's Your Mom for lunch!!!! Wonder if tafkalc would drive up there with me... that just seems extreme.

They aren't the same Jo...sometimes the Grubb deli will have them but the quality varies. They need to come from NYC, preferably the Bronx but some little towns in Jersey will get them done right as well.

I'm exhausted so lunch will need to take as little effort as possible. I have some seaweed salad leftover and I'll probably grab a sandwich from the deli downstairs...grilled chicken perhaps.

Jada said...

Thanks for asking Miu. Very, very good, but I must admit that I bummed a few off of Rico last weekend when we went to see Peep's show, and then again at Subterranean. You are never going to get me to admit that I love that place [although I secretly do].

Lunch today is a salad from the cafeteria. A little veggies are needed in my life.

I'll be at the happy hour today. Then its time to watch the pistons stage another comeback.

I wish I had a So's Your Mom sandwich instead, I love that place

HaterTot said...

I heard Jada was double-fisting PBRs last Friday. I'd be uncomfortable with that if I didn't know that she's immune to Peep's hipster germs.

I'm back to biking again after 6 weeks of no activity because of a messed up hand from a bike accident.

Back on that horse again.

Thanks for asking, Miu. I drank some water at the beach. But, I was sunburnt and hungover, so that probably doesn't count.

I forgot I was trying to do more of that. Thanks for reminding me! I'll get right on it after I finish this Tab...

Jade - Happy National Donut Day!

They're giving out PAPER donuts?!

Why don't they just spit in people's faces while they're at it?

HaterTot said...

NO! I missed the hello kitty thing!!

LizTurtle said...

If they always handed out paper donuts, then I don't think they can claim the reason for it's popularity.

Fuckity fuck fuck. I'm developing an ulcer. I remember telling people at the beach that I'm not a crying drunk, generally. I might make a liar out of myself tonight. Fuck.

Miu, I am trying to drown my sorrows. Please, do, check in on Monday to see how that went.

Just spent a good 4 hours of company time writing up a guide for the OWFL expedition to Manchester TN. Dang, I haven't done that much work in this office in several years. Too bad it had nothing to do with work itself.

Lunch today was skipped, mostly because I didn't realize until just now that I hadn't eaten and that it's almost 3:00 Eastern time. I may take my lunch hour now and just not come back.

The afore mentioned date with titty saving tomorrow will keep me from HH@BB tonight. Well, that and the free Shakespeare in the park (if it don't rain) tonight.

Yeah Titties.

Blogger deleted two of my comments earlier which I will now summarize for you:

Comment 1: In love with my sandwich maker today. Went above and beyond the call of duty to make my sandwich perfect.

Comment 2: Sandwich from movie I didn't see looks worth trying.

And Mikeysunshine's Bonnaroo Guide is a work of genius.

TICKETS ARE STILL AVAILABLE!!!

Oh god, that spanglish sandwich (spangwich?) sounds good . . . I would try to make one tonight when I get home from BB, but I have no bacon. And my tomatoes are pretty old. Hm. I could tart one up somehow I'm sure.

Will be leaving early with workmate (who came with me to BB pre-Antibalas, for those who remember), as it is her last day here & I'm too p.o.ed to work. Race!

Lady A said...

The sandwich looks great but I don't know if I recommend the movie to Jo...not sure if it's quite his 'thing'...

Anyways...but please note that there is one of my favorite ingredients on the Spanglish Sammie....RUNNY EGG!!! Woop Woop!

Josephus said...

Not my 'thing'?

What the hell is that supposed to mean?

I loved Joe Vs. The Volcano!

LizTurtle said...

Apparently Tea Leoni's snot is a supporting character.

GimletGirl said...

I saw Spanglish . . . the narrator is a friend of mine from college. I've seen lots of questionable films and tv shows b/c Aimee was in it (the romantic comedy w/ Ashton Kutcher and Amanda Peet springs to mind as, um, a real treat.). As for Spanglish, the narration was FANTASTIC! The rest, not so much.

Josephus said...

Aimee Mann?

GimletGirl said...

Entirely different Aimee. I will admit that the grandma was funny. And the sandwich did look delicious.

I do love Sub T, but they were playing bad music last week.

I'm not hip enough to be a hipster so I can drink PBR. Besides the drinks at that place were ridiculously cheap. I ordered two shots of Jaeger, two PBR's and a Miller Lite and it came to 13 bucks. She had to have rung me up wrong.
