s'okay, I'm broke anyway. I repeating the Tab Energy, Lean Pocket, carrots, grapes, and yogurt super cool ultra lunch today.

Besides that, its weird to be perpetually broke. I could swear it wasn't this way less than a year and a half ago.

Aw, & I here I was just about to buy my ticket. Sigh!

Lunch today = tachine (sp?) - I think it's iranian - middle eastern of some sort, at least - dish with saffron & yoghurt & chicken cooked in rice. My mommy made it. It's yummy to my tummy. This was also dinner last night. Mmmm . . . and I had no breakfast, so lunch may come earlier than normal today . . . .

I'm jealous. But...I'm thinking...http://www.allgoodfestival.com/

Hummus and veggie sandwich on wheat, seaweed salad and a blueberry yogurt.

Lunch today will be a trip to the mall for some last minute Bonnaroo Supplies. I'll swing by the NY Deli on the way back for a Guliani.

For the record, all y'all who ain't going to Bonnaroo is suckers. You convinced yourself that (insert excuse here; it costs too much, I can't get the time, I am afraid of fun, I can't be bothered to enjoy myself occasionally), and that's just sad.

We'll let you live through us a little. We'll take plenty of pictures and there will be a side order about the event.

Miu, it rains every year. Your ill will is powerless against us.

I hate all of you going to bonnaroo. Yes, I am jealous, I am not afraid to admit it and own my feelings.

I am afraid of fun.

Sunshine - I'm going to leave a batch of cupcakes upstairs for you to bring to Bonny either tonight or tomorrow morning.

Jo and Peep - I take no claim to what may happen to these goods once they are out of my possession.

hmmm...cupcakes you say...indeed there is more to worry about then just little ol' sunshine...

Bonnaroo is a good concert . . . for me to poop on! (all credit to miu who sparked that moment of inspiration)

Lunch was yummmmmmm. I'm just sad there wasn't more of it. Sigh! I do love a good saffron flavour.

Hey Chicago!
I just found out that I will have exactly one night of downtime after Bonnaroo before heading off to Chicago for work next Tuesday-Sat.

This means a select group of Chicagoans can get the full Bonnaroo dope from, not one, not two, but THREE bonnarooers at once over drinks next week!

Can you even stand the excitement?

Looking for a sub $5 lunch. I'm thinking half smoke or bean & cheese burrito.

I want to come to Chicago within the next couple of months...anyone with me??? Anyone in chicago going to be around???

Josephus said...

Unicorn wants to know if any of you Chicago dwellers will be around...during the next few months...

Jada said...

I will be around in Chicago over the next couple of months, yes.

I think in repiration for the motherfucking long ass time it has taken me to get my OWFL T-shirt, oh wait I STILL don't have it, Jo should bring me a bonnnaroo shirt. Adult size small, please.

Josephus said...

Jade I would gladly pick you up a shirt, but I don't know what "repiration" means.

TAFKALC and I and others have discussed Labor Day Weekend in Chicago. I am still planning on making that trip happen.

Lunch was a pork chop and green beans that I made at 11:30 last night, because I am unable to sleep at a normal time.

One time I had tix to Bonnaroo, but I didn't end up going. I think I'm okay with that. The problem I've had over the years is that I have actively disliked the "headlining" act, and this year is no exception. (Sorry, Jada) Also, I worry about all the dirty, and anyone who knows me, knows I can't squat to pee. All of that said, the other acts are enough to make me sort of wish I were going, but I'm just going to take a lot of showers and utilize indoor plumbing like a motherfucker, just because I can.

Jada said...

repiration = the czar is a big freakin' slacker and I'm bringing out Rasputin.

Jada said...

I fully support Labor day in Chicago. I am pretending to have not heard anything that HT said about the acts playing at Bonnaroo.

Jade - Don't hold your breath..jo owed me a five guy burger...i got nana's potato salad...which was good...but it wasn't a burger. So instead of a shirt, I'd expect maybe...a good case of ye olde' hepatitis.

Josephus said...

It wasn't Nana's potato salad, it was Nana's FRIEND'S potato salad.

And Jade your shirt is coming.
As is Peep's.

Of course there are other people who haven't gotten their shirts, because they haven't paid...

Lady A said...

Yeah...Jo is "the boy who cried frozen peas and beer".

HaterTot said...

He's going to be sorry when he really needs some frozen corn and no one will bring it to him.

If Brian was still on the blog he'd know what I was talking about. "Chicago Brian" that is...not "The Bunkerer"...(one last eso-terrorist strike)

I consider myself from Michigan as much as from any other place. In fact I was there this past weekend. While driving from the South Bend area to Detroit I remembered that old string of 'jokes' and I actually laughed when I remembered the almost winter, winter, still sinter and road construction bit. It came to me as I crawled down the highway at about 30 MPH in between hundreds of orange barrels.

But what brings this on? Why the Michigan jokes?

Josephus said...

My favorite Michigan joke of all time was "told" during an improv show by Second City's touring company at MSU. It was a cabdriver skit and at one point the cabbie tells the tourist in the backseat, who had never been to MI before, "Hey look out your window! Romulus!"

HaterTot said...

Peep, you're too hip and cool for me. I don't know what the hippest of the hipster jokes are.

As always, you're so avant garde. Wait, do hipsters even say "avant garde?"

I went to the Garden Village for the first time today. 100 N. LaSalle for you loopy OWFLers (meaning peeP, I guess). Very very good gourmet buffet. I had polish sausage, italian sausage, mongolian beef, bbq pork chop, skirt steak, kung pow chicken, bourbon chicken, stuffed baked potato and a little veggie fried rice. All very tasty! The salad bar looked excellent, too. I didn't get the per pound rate, but I had quite a load and it was $6.50.

HT, you actively dislike Tom Petty and Elvis Costello? Bitch.

You gonna come to the Superchiefs' softball game on Tuesday evening, Jo? We're playing the 12 Steppers! Should be a good one!! I'll let a ball bounce over my head and roll to the wall for you!

Josephus said...

I don't get in till around 7:00 so I might be able to meet for the post game show.

Did I mention that for the first three days I am staying in Elk Grove Village?

The Doctor said...

I don't even know what Elk Grove Village is. Is it a mall?

If you have no idea where anything is west of California Avenue, you might be from Michigan.

HaterTot said...

No Dipso, in fact I like both of them just fine. It's the OTHER headliner that I've got problems with. And last year, wasn't it DMB, or some shit??

Horrible.

The Doctor said...

Other than TP and EC, I'm going to stay in my tent and read comic books.

(Josephus, can you bring me some comic books?)

HaterTot said...

I just gave him back his Y: The Last Man "graphic novels" (really, Dipso, you've got to learn the lingo) - tell him to bring you those.
