Would you say we ate his lunch?

USA, USA, USA!

D'OH!
Nice one Diz!

Man I am so stoked about about the death of Abu Musab Al Zarqawi that I am thinking about having a really tasty lunch today!

Maybe a sandwich.

Heavy on the mayo.

Dammit! Now I have to learn how to pronounce our new enemy's name... once he steps in to the vaccum in like 48 hours.

I'm trying to think of something very American to have for lunch today. Maine Lobster? Omaha Steak? Boston Baked Beans? I know I'll end up at McDonalds, but it's nice to contemplate how I could show my patriotism on this day of victory by my lunch choices

Jo, one hour and counting until conference call right?

just emailed you re the conf. call mikey.

Jada said...

I think we should all do Jaeger bombs to celebrate!

Heliocentric said...

I often don't get emails from you until like an hour or so after I get other people's responses. It's like you have Newman as your E-mailman

Heliocentric said...

The Jade, I think we should also be able to choose from Saki and Car Bombs

Josephus said...

mikey send me your work email

It's kind of embarrasing, but ok

Had a five guys burger last night. Really good and really greasy, kinda hurt my innards but it was worth it.

Thought i'd report that as its been a theme.

Maybe some freedom toast and freedom fries should be on the menu today in honor of blowing up some dude

Oh good idea, Sunshine. Jaeger bombs just happen to be my shot of choice so I naturally thought of it first. Not a fan of Irish car bombs, and I've never done a Saki bomb. Although come to think of it, the last two aren't very American are they? Maybe a jaeger bomb isn't either. I don't know where jaeger is made. I'll look it up.

That is not your real email sunshine.

Uh, in honor of the splattering of Abu, I'm going to a french restaurant. Wow, that is so the wrong choice for this kind of celebration. Oh, wait, no, I'm going to a freedom restaurant. Ha! Take that, you froggies! Mmm . . . frog legs.

Anyhoo, all the important peeps in my office are out at the consultants meeting, so most of the rest of us are going to Circle Bistro near Foggy Bottom - also coming: a former one of us, who I haven't seen in awhile. So it should be fun! And yum, pate. Oink oink. I mean, oinque oinque.

Isn't it rumored to have reindeer blood in it? That puts it either at the north pole or someplace in scandanavia.

LizTurtle said...

jaeger is german.

what about a sex bomb? i can't state this with any certainty, but al-zarqawi always seemed a little frustrated in that way to me.

Jaeger is also made from cabbage - fun fact courtesy of Rosie-Que.

It is also liquid death, and the cause of more than one person's downfall this past weekend on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay. Evil, evil, evil.

I ordered my lunch for today, last week, and don't remember what I got. A salad of some sort. Anyway, it's a working lunch w/ a Board member. Glad it's already paid for since I am b-roke.

Jada said...

I love love love love shots of jager. I really, honestly do. You OWFL'ers with your shots of Jameson can stuff it. I'm not throwing up at goldstar ever again.

Josephus said...

I'll take some action on that Goldstar pledge Jadey.

Shots of Jaeger leave HT confused about the location of her bra, her date, and her dignity.

Josephus said...

rico works in a "frat house".

Jada said...

Aw shit, you're going to be here soon too Jo, right?

Last I heard HT, Rico still had your bra.

Rico, are you doing a little break dance a la Van Damme? It would be sweet if you were.

HaterTot said...

I'd actually forgotten about that, Jade. Rico, whatever happened to that?

(One of my NEW bras found its way to hanging over the tiki bar this weekend. I got it back though. So Rico's is still the only one of my undergarments, past or present, floating around out there)

I'm not sure how I feel about the "Return of Spunky" yet.

dizkonekdid said...

esoterrorism obviously still abounds ... zakari or no zakari huh?

HaterTot said...

It's not the return, so much as another iteration. An iteration that would like very much to not be called "Spunky."

Hoping that keeping this short will allow me to post:

Pulling the second half of a Chick-Fil-A doubleheader for lunch today.

God bless America.

Let's try this again. I had the House burger at The Bottom Line. Had lunch with my boss. I bought. I have a feeling I'm going to get drunk this weekend.

Blogger seems to have shut most of us down. Unicorn sends her greetings and had the following for lunch:

"sauteed broccoli and cauliflower...lots of garlic with quinoa and fresh strawberries/blueberries and a pear. water to drink."

Lunch today: Circle Bistro - very good food and very odd waiter.

Starter: pate - chunky style & plenty of it, with a nice salad & what was described as 'violet mustard' and looked like hoisin sauce. Interesting.
Entre: shrimp on arugula with soybeans and some dressing that was really good - can't remember what it was but it was white & creamy-ish, but citrusy. Yum!
Dessert: rhubarb 3 ways: rhubarb shake, rhubarb ice cream (with a hint of honey) and rhubarb napolean with crispy crispy layers. Also yum! Plate was garnished with this almost flourescent pink sauce, which totally reminded me of something a teenage girl would wear on her nails. Or lips.

Want a nap now. Am very glad I didn't give in to my baser instincts & order a glass of wine. Yawn!
