Did everyone survive the carnage? Any strange Satan-y happenings yesterday?
And what the devil are you having for lunch?

16 servings of cheap pilsner last night? Attracted to a 6” seafood sandwich you saw being ordered and need someone to talk to? Feel like something pasta-y, but not exactly? This is what terrorizes our nation’s workers every day. It is ever-present, in the back of our minds--riding on the train, up the elevator, in that meeting. But these are simply facets of the one great question. The answer to which must be provided before we can ever grasp contentment. What’s for lunch?

Dang gum Blogger. WTF?
I survived the Day of reconning. In fact I got myself drunk and hung out with strangers at Buffalo Billiards.
Lunch today may have something to do with the free ice cream social taking place in the loby of my building.
Satan came to me last night & said "Have another glass of wine. One more won't hurt. MWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!!!" Fucking Satan. Now I'm hungover.
WFL: Anything that will ease the pain. Oodles of Noodles would be fantastic right now, but I don't see it happening. Hm. I bet the CVS has cup of noodles. So it may be noodles yet! Oh, yeah, and I lost 10 bucks at poker last night, so I have like $1.87 in my wallet, so cup of noodles would fit the budget nicely.
I was disappointed to discover this morning that I had finally learned how to function through Wednesday morning hangovers, just as the season that consistently permitted them ended last night. If that isn't Satan's power manifest, I don't know what is.
I never managed to get that burger yesterday. I think I might finagle myself a little Five Guys run this noon. That should finally get that zuchinni out of my system...
Oh yeah, I went in to the Bagel Sweatshop with Earthquake this morning for some hangover cure, but I couldn't eat, so I may augment my free ice cream with a marinated Bacon Egg & cheese on everything.
heh heh, "re-conning". Very clever mikey...if it was on purpose that is. If it wasn't then I will try not to think about your previous employment as an educator of our country's future.
My burger yesterday was devilishly disappointing. I'm gonna try again today.
hmm...i had to endure the stench of old sweat on the 42 bus ride home last night. satan's doing? i'll let you be the judge.
HT is back in the office, so we'll probably do healthy. we'll see where we go. please give us suggestions!!!!
The tuna steak that I grilled up last night was woefully dry and untasty, I had to throw half of it away. I think that was the devil's work, or the fact that I bought it at Giant.
As for today, I was gonna do a salad yesterday, but then instead I got a plethora of fried yummy things and whatnots. So maybe i'll do the salad today, we shall see....
TAFKALC, why don'tcha go to Houston's?
:)
I don't think she'll ever associate that restaurant with goodness with a name like that.
Regardless, they have a good salad selection if you have one in the neighborhood.
For me, today is all about keeping it cheap. I mean eap .. cause lets face it kids I can't afford that many consenants.
ha! diz, no houston's around here. more like cosi, breadline, baja fresh, soho buffet...the take out kind of variety. but nothing is appealing to me quite right now. i need it to be relatively cheap too since my paycheck isn't coming until friday.
any more suggestions???????????
tafkalc, go to CVS & get cup of noodles. It's like $1.19.
I, however, at the urging of a co-worker, went to 5 Guys & (b/c I just went there Monday night for dinner) decided to try a dog. Oh. My. God. I got a bacon-cheese-dog with ketchup, mustard, and chopped onions. Heaven on a bun. Sinful! The only thing that would have improved it was having a real dijon mustard instead of the yellow crap. Ah well - excellent anyway. I urge everyone to give the 5 Guys dog a try! You know, if you're not in the mood for a burger.
Lunch got skipped again today.
I dont no how to spell no good, but the kids i teached ain't no dumb for it.
I despise the 42 bus. It is the most crowded, slowest moving, irritation in the District.
I'm with ya on the 42. Plus what really pisses me off is the people who crowd on the bus at Dupont when they're only going 6/10th of a mile and i'm going to the end of the line, meanwhile I have to stand sandwiched between armpits til they get to the top of the hill. Walk you bastards!
