Stepping into the void for WD... What's For Lunch?
I can only hope that he wasn't able to post because he's still hungover from the excellent Newton Street party on Saturday night.

16 servings of cheap pilsner last night? Attracted to a 6” seafood sandwich you saw being ordered and need someone to talk to? Feel like something pasta-y, but not exactly? This is what terrorizes our nation’s workers every day. It is ever-present, in the back of our minds--riding on the train, up the elevator, in that meeting. But these are simply facets of the one great question. The answer to which must be provided before we can ever grasp contentment. What’s for lunch?

WD mentioned a meeting with some sort of "intelligence" last night after we opened a can of whoop-ass on Sunshine and Mr. Uni in a game of spades. "Good times" Sunshine..."good times"...
I got subway today. Hungry and needed fast food that was half-way ok for me after this past weekend of hummus, margaritas, Ben's half-smoke, cheese, more cheese, meatballs, another quiznos salad, rice crackers, tapenade, salami, proscuitto, sangira...ugh I can feel the acids in my stomach jumping around.
i wrote to WD and told him to get to posting. he wrote me back with the following:
Oh shit. I've been home all morning with what feels like food poisoning. I won't be able to post, I actually need to try to make it to work for a meeting. Hope I don't throw up again. Can you do an emergency post for me? Bad timing to get sick. I think Edie's cafe did me in...
looks like no lunch for him today. i on the other hand had some japanese curry i made last week...it's still tasty!
uni -- i ate so friggin' much at your house saturday night. i woke up at 3pm to eat lunch and then participated in a staff wine tasting at 6pm followed by a trip to the diner where i had meatloaf and mash po's. i feel the acids too, girl. it ain't purty.
I am starving! and freezing! SOmeone bring me a blankie and some soup please.
The blog is dying.
seriously, what a sad turn out today. i can hear the czar's voice in the distance taunting "nah nah nee nah nah!"
The Czar has his own blog now. I don't know if people are going there now, instead, or what. It could also be that, like me, people are ridiculously busy.
Jade, It is not dying, just hibernating.
I for one have been working like the offspring of a bee and a bever getting ready to go on the road for 6 weeks for work. I try to check in daily to keep up with the chatter.
For lunch today I tried a new "Real New York Deli" called Chutzpa. i had a turkey sammie, which was turbo bland. I would refuse to go back there, but I'm leaving town so such boasts are not necessary.
Last night I had dumplings and gobs, and ahealthy dose of ass kicking. I mean I don't know if you play cards, but the showing me and Mr. Uni had was probably what made Watchdog sick.
yes, i'm uber busy this week too...hibernation may be upon us folks.
i'm hungry AGAIN...when will this ever end?
Apologies to the blog. I had a serious stomach problem this morning, and completely spaced on the posting I was to do. Though my excuse IS related to food, so maybe next turn i'll talk about food-borne illnesses
