I wonder what the Addams Family would have for lunch.
Was Lurch the chef?
How would Cousin Itt eat?
Did Thing ever do a #2?
Does Christina Ricci prefer the original theme song or the MC Hammer remix?
And, most importantly, WFL?

I think Cousin It was strickly a raw egg eater. He was really into keeping that coat glossy.
I heard that one-time the Munsters came over for lunch and the Munster dad and Lurch got in a fist fight, all the while Mr. Adams was kissing up and down the arm of Mrs. Munster. Was she the vampire?
Mrs. Munster was an Elvira type. More Bride of Frankenstein than Vampire.
Do you think Morticia Addams was a better cook than Mrs. Munster?
I don't imagine Christina Ricci being much of a Hammer fan, but who knows? I imagine them eating a lot of spaghetti and saying it was worms, or someting.
I get the Addams family confused with the Munsters. Which had The Hand? I'd think The Hand did the cooking.
I'm onto Day 3. I need to up my intake of the cleansing solution. I only had about 50 oz. (of the recommended 60oz.) yesterday, and went to bed at 9pm with a nasty headache. Today, I had to be in the office by 7:30, woke up feeling like magic. I still feel good, but I've got a long day ahead. I've been going heavy on the mint tea this morning though, and saving the cleanser for the afternoon. I think tonight I might toss in some of the "cleansing" tea.
Today I am craving a fluffer nutter on wonder bread, like nobody's business. Man, that would rock right about now.
I watched a couple scenes of the Gilmore Girls season premiere last night to check on the status of Rory’s character development. Per our previous conversation, Josephus, you were spot on with your Christina Ricci/Alexis Bledel comparative analysis.
I woke up knowing exactly what I was going to do for lunch. I even forsook a prepared brown bag because my craving was so clear.
Burrito de carnitas, easy rice, black beans, pico, hot, corn, sour, cheese, guac and lettuce.
I know what I'm talking about Dipso.
I need a taco salad. Where can I find one in downtown DC? Ethics?
By the way, I will be lunch blogging from The Windy City tomorrow and Friday. I am accepting lunch reccomendations.
Last night wasn't the season premiere, it was the 3rd ep so far this season... and what's this Alexis Bledel/Christina Ricci comparison?!
Taco Salad? Hmmm... this sounds weird, I know - but I've always been a huge fan of Wendy's taco salad. You can also go the bol route at Chipotle or Baja Fresh.
The Hand wad called "Thing".
Didn't he drink through a finger?
Ricci or Bledel?
Felt like the premier.
Ricci.
I thought Mork drank through a finger.
I don't even think Bledel and Ricci are comparable. Ricci has that giant smashed football/Stewie face. I hate how she looks. I think Bledel is hot, but I either heard (or made this up) that she has a raging heroin habit.
Bledel just gained a few points.
CSR wants the blog to know he is lunching at PF Changs in Austin, TX.
That's hilarious - I've been to PF Chang's in Austin!
PF Chang's sounds tasty right now...
I would also like to report that my sense of smell rivals freakin' Lassie right now.
Someone on this floor - not in my office - is eating a burger, and I sniffed them out. This is one of the many pros/cons (depending on your point of view) of the fasting.
Chaos theory….
I needed to ask my boss a simple question, but needed a quick answer. He wasn’t in his office, so I went looking for him on the other side of the building, which I typically avoid at all costs. I find him, he IS on the other side of the building (I think that was a comma splice right there) in a meeting, so I can’t get his attention. So I head back to my office and happen to pass a co-worker’s cube that had a tin of little chocolate chip cookies on the ledge. Almost unconsciously I deftly grab a cookie and pop it. At that point it’s 11:40, which is when I pre-decided to go to lunch in order to beat the chipotle rush. So I walk out the door and head to chipotle and pretty much as I’m opening the door I realize that I’m not nearly hungry enough to eat a carnitas burrito. It doesn’t even sound that good. I woke up starving, craving the damn thing. Damn that cookie! I just had a six inch turkey on wheat. I was so spaced when ordering that somehow it has cucumbers and pickles on it, which I never ask for.
So far, my informal survey* is showing a perfect correlation between the respondent’s gender and preference for either Ricci or Bledel. Males prefer Christina.
Chi-digs tomorrow and Friday? Josephus and Dipso go to Hot Dougs?
*Sample size is too small to be considered statistically relevant.
HOT DOUG'S!!!!
Rico it's an alien.
I had a Wendy's taco slad.
Color me underwhelmed.
Christina has bigger boobs than Alexis. Alexis has a nicer face.
Combined with your informal survey results, that says volumes about male/female physical preferences.
I like the cucumbers on the sandwich, and commend you on your choice. Though, cucumbers AND pickles seems a tad excessive.
I am being hyper-productive today and still have time to post on this blog. What I don't have time for though, is wading through the miles of cyberspace where liberal bloggers are wetting themselves with glee. That will have to wait for later.
I'm sorry your taco salad was underwhelming. It's pretty simple, but I have to say I love it. I really like Wendy's chili though, so that's a big part of the appeal for me.
THIS JUST IN!
I've just gotten this Hot Doug's piece of advice:
"Tell your friends to go to Hot Doug's early on Saturday. They open at 10:30, but if you get there after 11:00 the line will be at least 20 minutes long just to set foot inside the place."
I have to go to Dallas next week for work. I've never been to Dallas before. Anyone know where to eat? I bet they've got some good tex-mex restaurants down there. I'm going to fucking Dallas, Texas people! A good lunch is all I have to look forward to...
Watchdog - my Dallas connection is no longer, but I do remember a thing or two:
III Forks for steak - I think it's rather pricey, but if you'd like a "nice" dinner, this is the place for steaks.
Freebird's Burrito (in both Dallas and Austin - sorry, csr - forgot this one in the Austin recs - also forgot Salt Lick BBQ, but I've never been there, it requires a car, as it's on the outskirts of town)
TexMex: Monica's Aca y Alla and Herrera's
La Duni (I think I've heard this referenced with regard to Mojitos and Breakfast)
These Dallas recs are not first hand, but come from someone I know and trust. My eating in Dallas has been limited to expense acct. type places, all of which were okay - good, but not worth writing home for.
Thanks for the Dallas intel there Ethics. I've got limited per diem, but i can view that as a subsidy towards a fine meal.
I do what I can, watchdog. All but III Forks are reasonable. Sadly, I've never eaten there myself, and I don't see a meal there in my future.
But, they say life is a series of trade-offs...
