Josephus and I just made way-more-complicated-than-they-needed-to-be plans to meet at Hot Doug's in a couple of hours. Expect a report on duck fat fries tomorrow.
Jo also wanted me to ask everyone else what they're having........for lunch.

I guess its the boring ol' salad bar for me today. I'm fascinated by this duck fat fries. Are they french fries cooked in duck fat? Or are the fries themselves duck fat? Is this like the chicken fries at BK? Those frighten me.
Dipso - Duck fat fries are a weekend thing, only, I think. Did you check Hot Doug's hours? My connection told me that the hours are wonky, so make sure they'll be open before you make the trek.
I'll be having, uh, more mint tea and lemon-y/maple-y/cayenne-y cleansing solution. Exciting, I know.
You're right ethics. Thank you! Duck Fat Fries are F & Sa only. Thanks for the heads up. I'll see if Jo wants to ditch plan and reschedule. If not, we'll be sure to ask the people about the duck fries. It'll be kind of like the Mary Experiment, except duck fries instead of blue bananas.
Hours are M - Sa 10:30-4:00.
It does work, watchdog - but you're right, it's weird. It was actually developed by this hippie dude - in the freakin' 40s! It's original purpose was to cleanse the system to prepare for a raw foods diet (people were doing that shit back then)
I like how I feel afterwards, but during, I have my ups and downs. But if you follow it and are good about using the salt water flushes and teas, it's awesome. I really only do those on weekends, b/c the er, results, are inconvenient when I'm at work.
But, yeah, I'd recommend it. It's tough, but I always look and feel better after.
Hot Doug's is a GO.
I am thinking about the special gator sausage and then getting the hot link to go. Any thoughts?

Hey gang. I'm ethics' mysterious Hot Doug's connection. She told me about this little lunch circle and I thought I'd just pop in and say keep up the good eatin'. Your passion for the midday meal is awe inspiring.
