A new week brings new opportunities. So many different ways to enjoy lunch. After a weekend playing with young Josephus Jr. I am nursing a sprained ankle so I need some comfort food. Any suggestions?
And of course WFL?

Master Cleansing. Today is day 1. "Lunch" consists of a mixture of fresh lemon juice, grade B maple syrup, cayenne pepper and water. I might have a cup of mint tea this afternoon.
Ethics that sounds delicious. But what about ME?
Oh, fine. Meatloaf and mashed potatoes for your comfort food. Meh.
I've heard of that cleanser before.
What is grade B maple syrup? Log Cabin?
I'm on detox, too. Roughage and water. Tomatoes for dinner.
Meatloaf and mashed. If they had a hundred people survey, top five answers were on the board, here's the question: what is your favorite "comfort" food? I have to believe both answers would be on the board, if not one/two. Knowing my fellow 'mericans, I think a lot of people would say chicken soup. Ice cream would probably be on there, too...and Iraqis.
Oh, csr - Austin is one of my favorite, favorite cities. For BBQ I like Rudy's (Stubb's is more famous, though). Diner food - Kirby Lane is amazing. For burritos/tex mex, I've heard good things about Chuy's. (I think a Bush twin got arrested there; not sure about "authenticity" though - but I'm sure you can get a lot of that, just on the other side of the 35). For dinner, the Roaring Fork in the Stephen F. Austin hotel is AMAZING. I can't say enough good things about it.
I'll be in Austin Columbus Day weekend for a friend's birthday. I CAN NOT wait. God, what a great fuckin' city. Be wary of the Shiner though - worst damn hangover I ever had.
Don't forget mac and cheese on the comfort food countdown. I'd add stuffing to that list, as well.
The cleanser is good stuff. 10 days is a lot longer than you realize though. I'm hoping since I'm so busy at work right now anyway, and TV is back, the time should fly. The worst parts of the cleanse are the "internal salt water rinses" and the Smooth Move tea. I'll finish this round up just in time for Austin, where I will ruin it all in a weekend. Looking forward to that.
Oh, grade B is not Log Cabin. Grade B is darker and less refined. More like Molasses. You buy it at hippie stores.
Comfort food: go with good ol' American fare. Burger, fries, and a coke. If its good for you, its not comfortable.
I think i'll go good for you today though. and eating at my desk, must catch up at work, blech.
meatloaf sounds good.
maybe a meatloaf sub...
The salad bar at the Gourmet Pantry now features REAL Bacon bits! Life is good right now.
I went with the tuna melt from Mom's Kitchen downstairs.
I was underwhelemed.
