Let's all drink to the death of a blog...

Or is it? Regardless, let's all drink.

Can't do the meatloaf today. I'm looking for something. Maybe I'll go see what that Au Bon Pain can do for me. Pizza sounds kinda good, too. What are y'all doing............for lunch?

Just got back from the Gulf Coast. I didn't eat a single MRE. In fact I ate like a slob. More McDonalds than I've had in years. I need a healthy yet tasty lunch to get me back into the swing of things.

HELP!

It didn't die Dipso - I've been swamped. Though, yesterday, I left work at noon, went home, grilled some lamb, then popped in the oven for an afternoon of braising. I promptly fell asleep on my couch for an afternoon of napping, but when I woke up I had fall-off-the-bone lamb waiting for me for dinner.

Josephus - I've been dead broke for weeks, and I just got paid. Want to meet me for lunch somewhere?

McDonalds isn't considered an MRE?

What is the classic McDonalds sandwich? Le Big Mac, or the Royale with Cheese? I was thinking about buying whichever is the "classic" and then going to the burger king and buying a whopper and somehow combining the two into one sandwich.

Jo, you are screwed. You need green stuff and its Friday. I'll have to think about this one for a bit.

Big Mac is the classic McDonald's sandwich. And from what I've heard about the MRE's, McD's definently is a step up.

Ethics I'm trying to get out of here early so I'll be eating at my desk today...next week...

I think I want chipotle, but it's so freakin' far away. Jo - I'm waiting for an answer about lunch.

Oh, fine. Then where the hell am I going to eat?

I believe you should go with Asian cuisine. Perhaps Thai - a chicken pad thai or perhaps pad wan sen. Coconut milk curry's always a hit, but I don't know if you want to do rice. You could do it with noodles, I suppose.

If you guys meet up, how about Sushi and/or teriyaki?

I need to find a lunch date.

Josephus is standing me up for lunch. I like your asian idea, though. Of course, I'm on hold with PEPCO (the electric company, for the non-Washingtonians) so I'm not likely to get out of here anytime soon.

Okay, I think I'm going to Potbelly - chicken salad or a wreck?

chicken salad. Add some bacon, peppers and extra mayo.

Three words: B. L. T.

I went with a wreck on wheat, with everything but oil. I added salt and vinegar chips, as an aftermarket addition to the sandwich.

I am pleased. I ordered well today.

Rawker - good to see you. It's been a while. And you came back with a perennial favorite.

Good work!
