Alright folks, this is pretty amazing that so many of you fuckers are traveling to our fine city of Chicago (aka The Windy City, Chitown, Chidigs, Fat Central, Home of The Machine). Why are meeting here? Well, That’s a great question. We are meeting to celebrate our existing and newly found friendships, the end of summer and well….FUCKING LUNCH, MAN!!
It’s the one year anniversary of OWFL and we are going to rock this mother funkin’ joint y’all. Holla!
Seeing how I, Chairman PeeP, am now in charge of putting this fine weekend together I am going to need a little help from y’all. (oh, and feel free to give some shit to those other Chitowners sittin’ back twidlin’ their thumbs. Yeah, they’re REAL excited to see you coming. Maybe they’ll buy you a beer or something.) This weekend is for you so let me know what you want and need and I’ll do some ass kickin’ and hopefully get it done.
Arrivals
Looks like most folks are coming in on Thursday. I have a car and I think Jada and Dipso do as well. So, what I need from you all is the day you arrive, the time and what airport. If you are flying, please provide those details as well in case of delays and such. Once I get this info, we’ll figure out who is picking you up or what train you need to take (like if it’s rush hour or something).
Accomodations
If you know where you are staying, let me know now. I have some room at my place. Miu is currently my only house guest but I should have a new air mattress by then and probably accommodate 1 to 2 others. My place is clean but no central AC. It doesn’t get that hot either so there you go. Other Chitowners, please speak up about the amount of peeps you can take in and how many vacancies you have. Any of you staying at hotels?

This is going to be a relaxed evening. The meeting place for those coming in is the wonderful California Clipper. There is a back room here so if the band (if there is one) is too loud we can hide back there. Now, the night will probably not end here. As Jo knows, we will probably move on to our favorite 4am bar known as the The Old Town Ale House. The most fucked up things happen at this place so please be aware. HT, make sure to watch your ass.
Friday, Sept. 1
I think I will be taking this day off. This will be a good day to take care of the touristy things people might want to do. We can all go together to places, split up or veg on the couch all day. The choice is yours. I will probably be heading downtown and hitting
Art Institute (you can get in for $1 donation)

Museum of Modern Art(not sure how much)
This is a very rough plan for this day so if you want or need to see something while you are here, speak up.
Lunch this day will probably be at Ada's Famous Deli and Restaurant
where you can get some big ass sammies. We can also plan around this if folks have other places they want to lunch at downtown. Let me know.
Friday night will be the Jada Pool Party. Jada, gonna need some help here planning the food and such. We’ll probably collect some cash and make a booze run. Those that want to cook stuff can obviously use my and Jada’s kitchens. Otherwise, we’ll be supplying stuff to gorge on. Jada, is there a grill? I’ll be bringing tunes and well, let’s just get wasted and throw Jo in the pool. Sound good? Oh, Jada, we should probably know what we can and can’t do here. How late can we stay at the pool? What will happen when I vomit in the hot tub?
Oh, for those of you wanting some Honey 1, this will be provided. Late comers, we’ll save you some.
We will also be discussing some of the topics listed above during this party. Let’s get the red tape out of the way.

Saturday, Sept. 2
Lots of resting this day. Take it easy because you’ve done some damage for sure and you'll want to have some energy for a couple of things:

**UPDATE** We will be heading over one of the many tattoo establishments in the Chicagoland area to support HT and any other lucky devil get "LOOK AT MY CROTCH!!" etched across their chest.
Night time festivities will be at the local watering hole, Subterranean to join in the TENSE FORMS SUMMER CL*STERF*CK. This is a show your friend and chairman, PeeP is helping design and participate in. There is a lot going on here and the site will be up soon. Basically we chose 21 musicians, pulled their names out of a hat and created 5 brand new bands. They have to create one new piece of music and one cover. There will also be a closing band and art on the 3rd floor (where you will see something by PeeP). This bar is 3 floors so if the show is not your cup of tea, Rico will be hanging out on the first floor trying to spank Jada or some shit like that.
After the show, well, we can always head over to Old Town or go home and sleep it off.
Sunday, Sept 3
Well, what do you do after days of drinking, dancing and city sights? Go to the beach!!! (noon baby, be there!)Weather permitting we’ll be heading over to the Montrose beach for a relaxing day of swimming (yes, the lake is fine), gaming (dipso, get on this!) and eating.
We are going to need a few things for this day so Chitowners, let me know what you have:
Chairs, chairs and more chairs. Bring them all.
Grills. If you have one, bring it.
Games. Again, dipso…
Music. I’ve got this.
Food. We'll make a run that morning to the store for some easy treats.
We’ll stick around here for a few hours, say maybe till 5, head back home to rest, shower…
Sunday night (8 PM) we’ll head on over to Café Bolero for relaxing evening of good Cuban food, drink and lovely conversation (this is where we will wrap up any OWFL concerns or agenda items). Please let me know if you will be around on Sunday night as I will have to make reservations. The restaurant closes at 10:30 so those of you with a liver can head on over to Quenchers and some dive bar on Western Ave. I keep hearing about. This is horse cock distance from Rico's place so beware.
We also have the option of heading over to Reserve. We'll decide at dinner.
Monday, Sept. 4
Happy Labor Day!! We’ll miss you fuckers. Those not leaving till later, well, we’ll figure something out. I need to get some fucking rest. Maybe some lunch? Somewhere? TBD.

From the other DC contigent, UNi, Mr. Uni the missus and I will be coming in Friday night I think the missus and I get in an hour or so before the unicorn family. However there is a chance that I may have to come into town a earlier for work, in which case I will be coming in on Tuesday night.
There is also a strong chance that I will have a car or suv that can facilitate in airport pickups.
Lodging is still being figured out but there are several good options on the table.
I guarantee you that Old Town Ale House will be a recurring theme...

Jada, would there be room at the pool for baggo? We'd need about a 30' x 6' space. If it rains for either scheduled outdoor event, we could move to a bar for a euchre tourney. Otherwise, we can just encourage pick up euchre whenever possible (unless people are real keen on a tourney).
I still haven't played euchre, so I'm not keen on a tourney. But I would be up for some pick-up/learning games. ;-p

Sorry kids, my office is in transit right now and I don't have internet access at work. No, I didn't get it taken away from me again, it's just being moved about.
I thought the pool party would be fun because I had the best time at Rosie and E-que's place in DC. It was chill, we got to eat our faces off and we didn't drop a lot of cash. The whole pool deck area is huge and on the weekends there are always a lot of different groups of people set up and boozing and such. There are grills available for us. The pool is open until midnight. If it's terribly hot we can always go up to my place.
I think the beach is a great idea, and I love that Peep chose Montrose beach [so close to me and much less crowded/dirty] rather than Oak Street Beach. Chicago has beautiful outdoor things to do and it's nice to include them.
Are Saturdays duck fat fries day at Hot Dougs? I am so fucking excited.

Jada, that is precisely why I think euchre is bad. It's exclusionary, and the people who know how to play won't teach the people who don't. It creates an us v. them enviroment that isn't very much in the spirit of Lunchmas.
There is no game where everyone can play at once, and there will always be people who want to be doing something else any way. If everyone wants to play, we can have a tournament and have multiple games going at once and the winners play each other. As far as not knowing how to play, learn! Go to yahoo games, read the tutorial and start playing online.
Ok...so again I'll try and offer up a Euchre tutorial. I know it didn't work out well last time, but maybe BB and Angles aren't exactly the best locales (too many "distractions"). If it interests anyone I'll do a dinner or HH@Home type of event one night. Maybe I'll do mini pattymelts cause eating and playing cards are two of my favorite things, and the mini eats allow you to do them at the same time.
I think Sunshine is coming home today (?) so I could probably persuade him to join in the tutorial. Mr. Uni is a good teacher but has some weird western NY quirks..."SHOULDERS"...ask Jo.
