16 servings of cheap pilsner last night? Attracted to a 6” seafood sandwich you saw being ordered and need someone to talk to? Feel like something pasta-y, but not exactly? This is what terrorizes our nation’s workers every day. It is ever-present, in the back of our minds--riding on the train, up the elevator, in that meeting. But these are simply facets of the one great question. The answer to which must be provided before we can ever grasp contentment. What’s for lunch?

I'm sleepy...right now my lunch plans consist of a large coffee. LT's party and prom wore me out!
I just got invited to Chotchky's. I'll go and love it. I'm thinking ribs for lunch today. I can wipe my hands down the front of my new white shirt.
How was prom, Uni?!? Did you lose your virginity?? Was it everything you hoped it would be? Or did you just get drunk & wind up with your date holding your hair back while you puked? Ah, memories.
Not sure what lunch is. My head cold from last week took a half day off & has now morphed into a cough. Hack hack. I'm sure the 3 packs of smokes I managed to put away this weekend didn't help matters . . . . Anyhoo, so I got up really late so instead of having party leftovers for lunch, I'm going out. I should get a salad, but since it's coldish, I might hit Mr. Hibachi's. Hmmm. Not sure though. I need some inspiration. Help?
I'm, once again, swearing to be good and healthy this week. A small, but hearty salad from the gourmet pantry will be the call of the week, me thinks.
What's with this Piston's crap? I got a dorky email from a cousin over there, too. It's the NBA, folks.

I hate the Pistons. Bill Lambeer killed them for me years ago. I jumped on the Bulls bandwagon with Jordan and never got off. But I do have to agree with Dipso, it IS the NBA, and the NBA sucks.
Get some sushi and miso soup LT. Maybe it'll soothe your smokers cough...
Prom was magical...I even got to sneak out the back entrance so I could smoke cigarettes in the alley...de ja vu.

I don't know what lunch is, but I am poor and hungry. I'm thinking it will be popcorn in the kitchen.
I brought in a pair of Hot Pockets for lunch (and probably again before the end of the week), but I'm just not in the mood today.
I think it might be a drive around and have a couple of butts for lunch kind of day.
Uni, I just realized that I didn't sneak out to smoke at my prom. We just smoked in the men's powder room(?) between the toilets and the Civic Center ballroom. And, I'm sure we thought we were slicker than owlshit doing it...
I'm getting a B.A.L.T. at Cap Grounds.
I left for lunch about 2 minutes before you posted, Uni, but thanks for the idea! I can tell when I'm actually sick, b/c sushi doesn't appeal at all. Ugh. I went for a blackened chicken-spinach quesadilla at CA Tortilla. It was yummy, and yet strangely unsatisfying. Seriously, sushi or melted cheese are 2 of my biggest satisfiers. Sigh. I'm just still sick. Nothing was really appealing today. Sigh! For dinner, I will have leftover tapenade, hummus, and artichoke dip. I should go buy some bread.
Went to Chotchky's with Sea Bass and Grab Bag. I ordered the Half Rack of ribs and the Monterrey chicken, mashed potatos and corn on the cob, oh and I had a Presidente margarita. The meal was savory and satisfying, but the service took a long time to get me my meal, so they took it off the check. So I had a good meal and I didn't support some sort of restruant corporation. Win, Freakin' Win baby.
I just ordered Chinese food: Hunan pork, egg drop soup and steamed meat buns. I am ravenous and want to eat NOW!

Phew, I'm with Peep on the Jordan-hate. Didn't like him before he came to DC, liked him even less when he left.
I thought for sure that if something I said was going to be turned into something dirty by Jo, it was going to be that I "never got off" comment. But yes, you are correct, I am going to suck those steamed meat buns right down, and I [and they] will love it.
Aw, someone sent me a chocolate Buddha! But there was no note inside so I don't know who it's from. Curious. And also, a little mean. How do you eat the Buddha? I can't have a headless Buddha sitting around my cube.

Lunch today was a salad, pretty weak compared to the rest of y'all.
LT had some crazy good eats at the party friday, I think I ate way too much but it was totally worth it...
And add me to the "hates Jordan" list. He started it by hating on the Pistons back in the day...

'sup ya'll, coming to you live from austin, texas with ro-esq and dizkonekid. we have been taking lots and lots of pictures of amazing tex mex eats to post when i get back to DC.
for brunch we ate at star seed cafe. i had the huevos a la mexicana, which were scrambled eggs mixed in with jalapenos, red and green bell peppers, and cheese. it also came with whole wheat tortilla and refried beans. man oh man, everything IS bigger in texas.
