It's funny that through all of our discussions we have yet to discuss how we like to eat our lunches? Alone? With the same group everyday? At your desk? Out? I personally am I walk out with a select few in the office everyday and bring it back to your desk and eat in peace and quiet while surfing the net. I usually go grab lunch with the same people everyday too. Is this the same for others?
BTW WFL today?

I almost always eat alone and in my office. I often don't even like people to see me leave for fear that they'll want to join me. Lunch is my personal time. "Josephus time" if you will.
I'm thinking salad bar today.
(Nevermind, I just posted the below in the yesterday's string.)
Are we just rolling with yesterday's post? How frugal!
Remember Jeff Smith, the Frugal Gourmet? That was one of my favorite shows as a kid. I bid him peace.
I have a lunch date with an old school chum of mine. He told me to pick a place, but I'm not sure what to do. Last time he paid for a fairly expensive lunch (expensed it), but I don't want to be presumptuous. If I'm paying my own way, Potbelly's sounds good. If he's expensing, it's a whole different ballgame. Maybe I'll go with the Thai place down the street. He should tell me before ordering that he's expensing it, right? That way I could go high end, or just hit the reasonably priced coconut milk curry and be happy either way. I guess I didn't need any help working that out, but it's nice of y'all to work as a sound board for me.
CSR - generally hating people as I do, I generally hate eating with them. I much prefer a solitary lunch. I probably lunch with others @ twice a month, and never initiate the idea. I like to bring food back to my office and close the door. There are, of course, some exceptions (e.g., when Josephus comes to town).
WFL?
Jeff Smith (the infamous gourmet, not the famous high school football coach) was a fave of mine growing up as well.
Until the troubles...
Teenage boys can take care of themselves. If they didn't want it, they could have stopped it.
I tried to google "Nipsey Russell's favorite food" -- nothing out there, if you can believe it. Some Internet. Came back with "Nipsey Russell's Kwanza Explosion."
There must be a way to figure out what Nipsey's favorite food was.
I recently went through my mom's old cookbooks and found a bevy of Frugal Gourmet books. I need to revisit those. The Frugal Gourmet Cooks American was always my favorite. I loved that guy. He often had muppets on with him. Perv.
Today is the second to last day of The Cleanse. Woo Hoo. Then off to Austin to ruin it all. I'm having some flavored seltzer water (raspberry) and gum (Orbit citrusmint) to liven things up a bit today.
I almost always eat alone, as well. My coworkers are irritating and I don't care about their personal lives - which we discuss ad nauseaum in staff meetings. Eff that shit. Sometimes I'll meet someone for lunch, but really, I prefer alone time with my midday meal. Or perhaps the e-company of my fellow bloggers.
Nipsey seems like a rib man to me. That's just the vibe he puts out there in the world.
That vibe is no longer. You didn't hear?

Nice to know he never bragged.
The Frug...Nipsey...gosh -- just throw in Bob Barker, John, Jill, Jack, Victor, Ashley, Kay, Paul, Lauren, Danny and Cricket, some 7up, cottage cheese with pepper on it and an old green and yellow striped couch and I’m in fourth grade home “sick” from school.
Smilin' Jack really botched the public offering. He felt bad about that. Turned him all peterbergmany.
Rico, last I heard your issue with the tex mex was that it didn't adequately work its way through you.
That Danny Romalatti could sing his butt off.
" That Danny Romalatti could sing his butt off."
Rock On.
Name the movie in which that song was featured prominently. It's one of ethics' faves. (yes, I've taken to referring to my blog identity in the third person)
"Jimmy Dean!"
Never heard of "Dream A Little Dream".
I was never really a Coreys fan either.
I wonder what they had for lunch when they were in their prime.
Ah, good - CSR, help me out. I've been before, and so I know some good places, but I'm looking for more. I'm staying at the Marriott downtown. Hook a sister up!
Never heard of that movie.
Saw Stand by Me last night, well parts of it along with some Karate Kid, Superman II and The Godfather. It took some seriously creative remote management.
Anyway, I really wish Wesley Crusher had shot that guy from 24.
