...is a bunch of horse manure. It's been rainy and/or gloomy since I got here. And to make things worse, I can see that my absence has allowed the other three proprietors of this hash bar we call a blog to neglect their posting duties. This is unacceptable. When I return I can guarantee that there will be a reckoning.
Yesterday I had lunch at a place called Smitty's in Pasadena.
Had the Smitty's salad and then the braised short ribs followed by the Michigan cherry crisp for dessert. Tasty stuff.
Today I plan on eating even better but alas, it is only 8:30 here and I have miles to go before I lunch. The rest of you need to get on the ball NOW.

I want you all to imagine a wedding for 200 guests - except those guests are paying a minimum of $1,000 a plate to be there and all consider themselves VIPs. Now imagine holding this wedding at a venue with some of the tightest security in the world, so your florists, caterers, guests, and other vendors all have to be cataloged and monitored and basically have their hands held the entire time. THEN imagine that it's not YOUR "special day" but rather a coming out party for your employer -so if it's fucked up, it's your job. Oh, and imagine doing this with pretty much zero help.
Yeah. Good. THIS is my week people! I have no time to eat - hell, I'm so nervous I couldn't keep it down if I had time to eat it.
Godspeed, what's for lunchers. I'll be back to normal after next week.
Hey, I said I was Annual Meetinin' all last week -- so lay off! Good luck, ethics! Don't let Josephus' blathering pile on to your stress.
What's for lunch? WHAT's for lunch? What IS for lunch? What's FOR lunch?
How can I honor the White Sox with my lunch choice, Jo? Bangers and chips?
dipso, find yourself a good polish with fried onions. Then wash it down with a beer. Not an Old Style.
Maybe I'll do that tonight for that other meal. In which case, I shall go healthy for lunch - GP salad bar, here I come.
