I'll be on a plane all day headed back east.
I can't wait to dine on United's famous $5 box lunch.
Blecch.
Next week order will be restored on this Blog, but until then...WFL?

16 servings of cheap pilsner last night? Attracted to a 6” seafood sandwich you saw being ordered and need someone to talk to? Feel like something pasta-y, but not exactly? This is what terrorizes our nation’s workers every day. It is ever-present, in the back of our minds--riding on the train, up the elevator, in that meeting. But these are simply facets of the one great question. The answer to which must be provided before we can ever grasp contentment. What’s for lunch?

Me so hungy. I think the cafeteria's finest is in order today. WHatever that may be.
Jo- enjoy the turkey and swiss on a croissant, lays chips, red apple, coca-cola, and famous amos cookies.
I had a post all ready about how soup season is officially upon us, but then Jo beat me to it. Ah, well.
I do feel guilty about neglecting ye olde blog, and I promise that after next week, when I'm back from New York and back to a normal work schedule (that once again includes lunch) I'll be back better than ever.
Today is a less insane day though, so I envision heading down to ABP for some soup and perhaps a sandwich. I've heard there's a pumpkin soup on offer, so I suspect that will be a not-insignificant component of my lunch.
It should also be noted that I am really tired. I got home at a nearly reasonable hour last night, and was too tired to sleep (anyone else get that way?). So I drank a bottle of wine, and I didn't even really get drunk, but then it was 2am. Tomorrow I'm supposed to go to the Annapolis-Eastport tug-o-war and subsequent deep fried turkey party. I'm not even sure that in my dead tired state I'm going to participate in those festivities.
You know how you can tell I'm tired? I'm rambling nonsensically. I wish I had a hammock.
Pumpkin soup is tasty.
Also, got a turkey club with guac on french white. Would've been better toasted.
Lunch Blogging from LAX. I had to take a later flight because I missed the 45 minute window for checking baggage.
Just finished brunch at the Wolfgang Puck's joint. A scrambled egg pizza thingamajig with tomatoes, bacon and a ranch sauce. Very tasty but it left my stomach all a twitter. I just finished my second club soda. A twittery stomach and a 5 hour flight do not mix.
I wish I was in Chicago...
I'm not a fan of those wolfgang puck places. I want to like them, but I'm inevitably disappointed.
I'll take PB&J's in Detroit anyday.
Avoiding all things sox. This is a nightmare.
Wreck: heavy mayo, heavy peppers, macaroni salad and stewie's grape. You really can't do much better than that.
I'll say this much -- I feel guilty about how much I spend on lunch. I feel I should be brown bagging 4x per week.
If I really think about it, I think I spend closer to $30/week on lunches. I need to cut that out. Some weeks, when I'm poor, I make do with random things from home, but $30 accounts for roughly three lunches at $10/each per week.
Today I think I accidentally paid for my lunch with my work credit card, rather than my debit card, as intended. I swear it was an accident, but I think they owe me since before I came in this morning, I had already logged 60 hours this week.
$30 sounds about right. Assuming three weeks of vacation, that's $1,470 annually. That could buy a lot of booze.
Stupid sirens and honking and cheering outside my window. I shan't look. I shall hate.
Rico - I'm in EST and I'm still fucking here.
Waiting for my printer to call me to say he fixed my dinner program, drinking a beer, manipulating excel spreadsheets and singing along to Three Dog Night... LIIIAARRR!!!
