Here we go...

I had a Chicken & Ham Club today.
Grilled chopped white meat chicken.
Deli ham. Bacon. letuce, tomato and onion with heavy mayo on a "homemade" pita.
Delicious.

So, what you're saying is that they advertise their pita as "homemade", but you may have some doubts?

They call it a "homemade" pita but I would describe it as closer to the rectangular bread used at Cosi, but it opens on the long side instead of short.

Turkey Cobb Salad Wrap, English Toffee Cookie, Diet Pepsi

As always, the Au Bon Pain wrap doesn’t disappoint. Though, the combination of bacon, hard-boiled eggs and mayo/dressing made me long for egg salad. My only complaint is that this wrap is a little light on the gorgonzola for my tastes, but overall, I’m not longer hungry and my palate is pleased.

I finished off the meal with an English Toffee cookie, which was precisely the firmness that enjoy.

The only lunch oddity lies in the Diet Pepsi. It tastes a bit like chemical cleaning products smell, but even odder, I’m enjoying it.

Yo Ethics...Kudos on adding the english toffee cookie. I am a HUGE fan of those. Which brings up a good topic which I should probably start a new post on...How often do yu add a "desert" to your lunch? I find that at least once a week I pick up a payday or some reese's cups for a post lunch snack, but rarely do I buy a direct desert like the jello or pudding we used to have in grade school. How about you?

Clemmie, This is not a competition. This is a free exchange of ideas. We may on occasion debate the merits of one lunch choice over another, but I hope we never get into outright lunch challenges. Let's try to play nice for a little while.

Well, I'm so glad you all approve of my choice of the English Toffee cookie. It was an impulse purchase on the way out of the store.

I typically frequent a different establishment for my noontime nourishment, but I was feelin' ABP today. That said, josephus - I would say the lunchtime dessert is a rarity for me. I was hoping the sugary goodness would wake me up enough to get me through my afternoon.

To comment for a bit on the oj - I think the oj could possibly be complimentary to the tuna, but I agree that I would have gone with lemonade. My usual lunchtime establishment has fresh squeezed oj, carrot/orange, carrot/orange/beet and lemonade all day, but I prefer these tasty treats on their own, rather as a compliment to my meal.

XM Satellite Radio was nice enough to provide lunch for me today, and it wasn't bad for a press event. Things that crossed my plate were salmon with wild mushrooms, spinach salad, asparagus, beets, and tasty, tasty slices of beef. Also, though the desserts weren't visually impressive (how come no company ever provides just some straight-up chocolate cake? Americans love chocolate cake!), they had these carrot-cake nodules that rocked the sweet house. Still wouldn't mind an English Toffee cookie, though...
