By democratic process the OWFL had planned the Inaugural OWFL conference to occur the weekend of April 7-9 to be held in Chicago. Unfortunately, all plans went awry [I'm being political here] and I am fairly certain there is no current official plans for a Spring conference. However, I for one still really want a conference, so this will be the official planning post for the First Ever Official The Original What's for Lunch Conference.
This is the place to brainstorm, offer suggestions, recommendations and to plan this momentous occasion. But keep it nice kids. Big Brother is watching.

A few possible items on the conference agenda that were discussed last night...
1. The Grubb Road Deli/pickle bar (not possible but a definite)!!
2. So's Your Mom
3. Chief Ikes
4. Karaoke (Jo, LT, HT and myself were practicing on the way home last night)
5. Dinner hosted by whip crackin' HT...menu to include muffalatta, tittiecakes, snickerdoodles and budweiser....
HT and i met for a brainstorming session and discussed the agenda. all of these are included EXCEPT for the karaoke, which we have to do.
i will not rest until all OWFL-ers are on stage together (drunk) singing blaze of glory.
Who is confirmed to attend?
I am coming.

I demand that Jo make a relish tray one night.
Oh, and I'm staying with HT.
I guarantee relish trays.
I'm there, except for Saturday afternoon, being my sister-in-law's (& my soon-to-be niece's!) baby shower. Which means I probably shouldn't get too plastered Friday night, either. Sigh! Oh, but Saturday, ah, Saturday night . . . . Can't wait. Can we fit a Ben's Chili Bowl in there? Just b/c it's an institution & all. Maybe that should be a late-night stop. How late are they open?
but drunk karaoke is the best! come on jade...let's do a duet to total eclipse of the heart. it'll bring the house down.
oh, and diz and TexEsq can stay with me if they want. i will provide an air mattress if both of you can deal with the BOWKAL ('beast' otherwise known as lila)
