16 servings of cheap pilsner last night? Attracted to a 6” seafood sandwich you saw being ordered and need someone to talk to? Feel like something pasta-y, but not exactly? This is what terrorizes our nation’s workers every day. It is ever-present, in the back of our minds--riding on the train, up the elevator, in that meeting. But these are simply facets of the one great question. The answer to which must be provided before we can ever grasp contentment. What’s for lunch?

I am busy yet again today. I don't know what's for lunch. I just had to turn down a friend who wanted to enjoy her noontime respite with me.
By the way, where the hell is everyone else?
It appears a coworker and I are going to Potbelly, as we are both poor and hungry.
I'm thinking chicken salad.
Busy as usual, ethics. But today was the first time that I've actually thought to myself "what in the world am I going to have for lunch?" and then realized, there's help out there. Or there's supposed to be.
I need something heavy duty. Lunch is going to be it for me as far as eating goes today. I'm slammed at work, but have to be down the dino's tail at cinco en el punto in order to make my softball (playoff) game this afternoon. Won't have time to eat beforehand. Win or lose, we'll be going out afterward--and although the place we usually go has bar food, but I don't like to eat after I start the boozin'...that is until the 2:40 a.m. garden burger, bacon, triscuit and gouda casserole (or some variation thereof). What am I going to do? (At least tomorrow I'll have leftovers!)
I opted for the Potbelly chicken salad on wheat, with hot peppers and LTO.
I also grabbed a sugar cookie, though, the soft sugar cookies remind me of going to visit my grandfather in the old folks' joint - they always had soft sugar cookies for the geezers to gum, resulting in this gooey mess... anyway, not sure why I grabbed it, but there ya' go.
Dipso, if it were me, I think I'd either do a chicken burrito or alternatively, an italian sub, with chips (in the sandwich). I've been touting the italian sub for a couple of days now, though haven't gone that route myself. But it's got the combo of carbs and protein that you'll need to get you through your game and into your drinking. Plus, it's damn tasty.
Left to my own devices I made a very poor lunch choice. I went to the lunch spot in the lobby and got one of their ready made salads. It has some mediocre chicken salad, cottage cheese, sliced tomato, carrots, and broccoli. All on a bed of very tired lettuce. I am so disappointed in myself for making this decision. I needed your help...
I did go with the Italian...with a Wreck on the side. I've eaten three halves and will save the remainder until @ 4:30.
I was kicking around the idea of going sandwich, macaroni salad, chips, pickle, cookie...but panicked. I think I probably did the right thing considering my sitchy.
Ephus, what in the wide wide world of sports were you thinking? A ready-made salad with COTTAGE CHEESE on it?!? Son, that's NOT for lunch.
I hear Potbelly calling me.
Never put a Potbelly's sandwich in the fridge. I'm so depressed.
