Conference: Day One

Welcome to the First Annual Original What's For Lunch Conference!! Last night was a pre-opening night fun fest which, oddly enough, closely resembled what's on the agenda for this evening... hmmmm... very inTEResting...

Yours truly had to leave to procure a hypodermic needle and take a certain former WFLer home, and met up with the crew later on in the night. At this point Giggles and Friend had arrived, and everyone was getting acquainted with HorseCock. There was pool playing, beer drinking, dancing, lots of singing, falafel (and I don't mean that in the creepy Bill O'Reilly way), pizza, and some friendly wagering on whether or not LT was going to get some from her pool partner.

Tonight the festivities get started around 5pm at the legendary Bravo Bravo. Uni's bringing her world famous tittiecakes, and I'll be bringing my as-yet-to-be-made snickerdoodles, for delicious dunking in Bud Light.

I know this was supposed to be a joint post of me and Giggles, but I am willing to bet that I am the only one up and functioning out of last night's crew of degenerates. I need to get my lazy butt to the supermarket to pick up some more supplies and get to cookin' - like all good women should. I also need to neaten my sty of a house in advance of collecting TheJade at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. (for a city where one in three residents can't read a map, and therefore they had to abandon the motto "The City That Reads," that's a hell of a lot of words for a damn airport)

So for those of you lame-o's going to the Cubs game tomorrow, or the others who would be here if you could, because you know that this is the place to be, how are you planning to assuage that longing to be in DC with the other OWFLers? What's on the menu for your noontime meal? Truthfully, I think I need to procure some Saltines, because even sober, I couldn't resist the allure of the 2:30 am falafel, and I know better than to eat that late and now, my body is rebelling. But, I'll fight through - because that's what I do. I'm a trooper after all, and it's THE BEST GODDAMNED CONFERENCE THIS TOWN HAS EVER SEEN!!!!

Looks like the party really got rolling after I headed out, but I am at work now and have to do real work today so my 45% hangover beats the 95% hangover if I had stayed til closin' time.

The convention starts today, let the festivities begin!

I'm going to have some sort of solid lunch, not sure what yet. But something to drop in the gut and prepare for the weekend.

Not sure about the 'how' or 'why' but I am blogging from my desk at work right now. My body does not feel young and sprite today. In fact I believe I am feeling exactly all of my 31 years right night now. This is not fun.

Rico was sleeping on the sofa bed at my apt. when I left home and I assure you he will not be doing anything productive until someone forces him to.

My internal voice is slurring.

Rally time. Going to drink a few gallons of water and eat the 1/2 chicken salad sandwich I strategically left in the office fridge yesterday. I will win this battle.

ugh.

I guess he's awake.

"right night now"?

Jesus.

Or should I say "Judas"?
Man did we have that guy pegged wrong.

I have spoken to both Rico and Giggles and it seems they are coming to the airport with me. This should be fun. Then I am coming back here and baking, which should just about kill Rico, since my cat is the king of all allergy inducing kitties.

Well, you all better have your party pants on for tonight like you did last night! I missed out because I was making 36 cupcakes...!!

I want falafel...I love that fixin's bar!! Chili half-smoke and falafel in my future tonight!

And Rosie-que...you may just find me on one of your beds sunday morning...oooh la la! I am making that layer dip especially for you though!

I need to figure out what to do for lunch though...the weather sucks today so I probably won't want to run out later. I'll probably hit the downstairs cafe for a spinach melt and chicken noodle soup.

HT, GREAT POST! i couldn't have done a better recap of last night's debauchery. i only regret not having my camera to capture some of the golden moments.

but not to worry...it'll be with me tonight.

i may go down the street to dos gringos and eat something before we go and pick up the jade at the airport. i'll probably get the primo avocado: avocado, roasted red peppers, hard boiled egg, herb mayo, cheese on multigrain. it's very tasty.

Yay! Welcome, Moons!!! You are right not to let blogging get in the way of work - good start.

I am leaving now to pick up Giggles and Rico and make our way to BWI to get The Jade.

Who wants to wager on how long Rico can stand to be in my house?

Thank Judas moons figured this out. I was about to e-murder her...

It's 4:11 here on the east coast and I am finally at about 85%. And of course, drinking starts in 49 minutes...

I am blogging from the infamous HT's kitchen after having a very satisfying lunch from Hogs on the Hill with La Choi, Rico and HT. I had the chopped BBQ with cole slaw AND potato salad [I couldn't decide] and both mine and Rico's cornbread. It was good. Not as good as Honey 1 or Fat Willy's but it was definitely good. Rico is sleeping on the couch after finally evacuating. La Choi is doing something with cherry tomatoes, HT is operating her Kitchen Aid all by herself. I think I am going outside to smoke. I am not sure if my body is prepared for what I am about to put it through. YAY! I'm in DC!

Ro and I are sitting here. She is studying .. I have the shoutcast on Jazz and I'm fiddling with some new PC parts I'm throwing together from my B-day to make a Home Theater PC.

I'm so fucking jealous I'm bleeding green G_ddamnit!

Well at least I don't feel as bad as Ricco. After this week its better that we didn't go I suppose. Work has been a mess all week that culminated last night into 22.5 hours worth of work for the company. I got in @ 7:00am in the morning on Thursday and didn't leave the office until 9:30pm and then only to drive home which at that time I got into work from home on the VPN and then proceeded to work until 4:20am. I couldn't have gone even if I'd wanted to.

I'm still fucking jealous.
