16 servings of cheap pilsner last night? Attracted to a 6” seafood sandwich you saw being ordered and need someone to talk to? Feel like something pasta-y, but not exactly? This is what terrorizes our nation’s workers every day. It is ever-present, in the back of our minds--riding on the train, up the elevator, in that meeting. But these are simply facets of the one great question. The answer to which must be provided before we can ever grasp contentment. What’s for lunch?

Hello, Uncle Sparkle. Good post. And, good timing.
My lunch today was lame. I'm really lethargic for some reason, and all I want to do is lie around, despite all the cleaning that needs doing and the errands that need running and the work that needs working. Or, something.
i had a faboo lunch at lauriol plaza. i ordered the small house salad, which in reality is pretty damn big. it had pepperrocinis (sp?) and hearts of palm. it was only $4.95. my friend gave me a few bites of her spinach quesadilla and i was very satisfied. after eating 50 gazillion homemade tortilla chips and salsa, i was stuffed.
lunch under $7? you can't beat that with a stick.
WFL DC Dinner Tonight!
I keep eating pepperoncini, but rarely enjoy it. Sometimes though.
I've had three small breakfasts and a lunch today. (Coffee and granogurt, mixed fruit, egg white and tomato sandwich, and I just polished off the unreasonable garlic chickaden noodle soup over the sink.)
I'm going to eat chips tonight, and perhaps have a margarita. Woo Hoo. I am a wild woman.

More with the self flagellation.
I love hearts of palm, LC.
"have a margarita"
Don't make me get all motherly on you, HT. Do I need to remind you of a little surgery in a couple days and a risk of bleeding to death!?!? Jo, keep her in line!
Oh brother. Sometimes I like them!!!
I was thinking about getting Uncly on her, too.
Somebody needs to get on her case. I realized I just enlisted Jo for help ... that's like putting the lunatics in charge of the asylum.
Although I do have to say the DCers put us Chicagoans to shame. We never have Chicago WFL dinners.
We should remedy that.
Hey, HOOOOOOORRRRRSSSECOCCCCKKKK!!!
She only had two drinks...I think.
Three. But two didn't count. Though those swirly margarita/sangria things were damn tasty, they were virtually booze-less.
I'm done drinking until the surgery's over, so I'm sure I'll be a-okay. More red meat and veggies rich in Vitamin K tomorrow (spinach and broccoli), and I have no worries.
No one has to get all parental - or Uncley - on my ass. It's best behavior from here on out.
