Just, Wow.

Okay, none of you but possibly Spoilsport will get what a HUGE effin' deal this is, but check out our Google rank for the search "Chipped Ham Isley's". Seriously - I can be like a local celebrity at home now. Fuck.

Excellent work Eth,I mean tate, I mean Hatertot. With all the EL related folk on this board it's horrible that we haven't done more shameless promotions of places. Like BEGGAR'S BANQUET, EL AZTECO, BUDDY'S, CRUNCHY'S, or other places like those...

whoa, it's just impressive whenever our blog comes up on google at all. makes me feel like we're famous or something...

SO glad that you are now HaterTot. rock on!

Oh no Jo, don't tell you are a Crunchy's fan over The Peanut Barrel. The Barrel was my lunch place during my days at State. The Rodeo Burger makes my mouth water at the mere thought of it. I think I have done tons of shameless promotion for El Azteco. I think we should have a special WFL conference on a football weekend in EL, preferably in October. October in EL is my favorite place on Earth.

And good job HaterTot. That is so impressive.

Jade, I actually only remember going to THE PEANUT BARREL only onceor twice in my life. And frankly I only went to Crunchy's afew times for the burger and buckets special.

I hate to admit it, but the bulk of my early drinking days was spent in THE LANDSHARK and at RICK'S. No I did not go to P.T. O'MALLEY'S. Blecch.

Did I forget to mention THE RIV?

There is nothing wrong with THE LANDSHARK, it was my regular Wednesday night haunt in order to see Chris Delgado play. Friday night always started at RICK'S. I liked THE RIV, too, but was also partial to SMALL PLANET because they used to have the best live music. I also used to tend bar at PAUL REVERE'S TAVERN [seriously] and that place just ruled. I would feel remiss not mentioning DAGWOOD'S, even if it is in Lansing, because it was a great dive bar. I think that is enough EL pimping for now.

Did plenty of drinking at DAGWOOD'S, which reminds me of my old favorite Lansing watering hole MORIARTY'S. I ahven't drank at the new WOODY'S Bar downtown yet, but I grew up on their food at the Trowbridge road loaction.
