Meatloaf, Bojo, and the Galileo Grill - oh my!

Good Morning! And what a Good morning it is! I came in to work to discover that tonight I'll be having a late dinner at Les Halles to celebrate the 2005 Beaujolais - which means free wine at midnight for all! (thanks LaChoi for setting that up and keeping us informed) This coincides nicely with the fact that I made my award-winning meatloaf last night during the Gilmore Girls, and I brought yummy leftovers (and stewed tomatoes) for lunch today.

Lunch for tomorrow is already planned with LaChoi, Josephus and the as-yet-lacking-a-blog-alias-because-she's-a-big-slacker-coworker at the Galileo Grill. I can't wait!

So cats and kittens... What's For Lunch on this glorious (and unseasonably warm) November day???

Doing the Indian buffet again. This time with fellow WFLers, watchdog, awreck (who?) and another young luncher who has yet to post.

I'm going heavy on the butter chicken today.

Not so heavy on that spicy dish that always encourages evacuation.

jo is obsessed with evacuation, i am convinced.

so, due to my consumption of what i like to call "the fat kid special" (buttery croissant, egg, sausage and cheese...mmm!) this AM, i am going to eat some left over of my uptown turkey. perhaps later i'll have to grab a second lunch though since dinner won't be until around 9:30PM...beef, dancing, and free vino. can it get better? i don't think so.

Whoa busy Dipso, but I just wanted to let you all know that I'm thinking about you. A couple of handfuls of trail mix...hoping to get out for a sandwich later.

Ta.

I have finished my delicious meal of leftover meatloaf (so much better the second day!), stewed tomatoes, and a surprise add-on: abp pumpkin soup. (thanks slacker co-worker who I think might come out of hiding today!)

It was a lovely fall meal, which only could have been made better if it was even remotely fall-like outside.

I so desperately need a nap; I'm never going to make it to midnight at the rate I'm going... Maybe I can find a little hyperactive kid and steal his Ritalin.

Welcome Pumpkin Soup! Good to have you aboard.

When I was a little kid, my feet and hands turned yellowish-orange. My mom thought I had jaundice and took me to the Dr.

Turns out I was eating too many orange veggies. Does this happen to adults?

Welcome punkin!

Ethics I'm not sure about your hands turning color, but I guarantee you that evacuations take on the color of food at times. And Red wine.

Speaking of red wine, Jo - you should consider joining us this evening, though I suspect the late hour is WAY past your weekday bedtime, since you're not the man you used to be...

Josephus said...

I'm twice the man you've ever had ethics!

But alas I can't make it.
Big TV night!

Jo - this happens after all the tv; drinking begins at midnight! I'm going home, doing tv, then going out.

But I'm hardcore like that. I wouldn't expect you to be able to keep up.

OK, you're turning down some excellent beverage and foods for a night of TV? that's just a load of horse shit, jo, and you know it!

I've heard horror stories about the first bojo night. I'll pass.

Unless there is Angles involved.

We're going to Las Halles, not horrible Bistro du Coin. And LaChoi the wine goddess made us reservations, so we're all set!

But I can recognize excuses when I see them. It's alright though. I've learned how you Michiganders are; you're not much with the drinking.

Oh, and SNOW???? It's like 70 degrees here!

in order to last me until the bojo release party this evening, i am eating several lunches. i ended up eating the santa fe chix salad from corner bakery today with those yummy crispy strips of corn as well as plump kernels of corn...delish! the 1/2 sandwich uptown turkey is now going to be meal #2.

must save room for american beuf.
